He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Ivan and Flossie Ray (Wells); his wife Shirley Dorjohn; his siblings, Roy Ray, Claude Ray and Betty Croy (Gene); and his brother-in-law George "Bud" Kappes.
He is survived by: his siblings, Charles L. Ray Sr. (Maxine) of Camargo, IL, Dale A. Ray (Geri) of Tuscola, IL and Carolyn Kappes Camargo. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
