He was predeceased by: his parents, Gladys Dorn and Alvin Van Dorn; and his daughters, Linda Dallas and Brenda Franklin. He is survived by: his partner Gini Montgomery; his sisters, Kathy Van Dorn and Sheila Pruitt; his daughters, Teresa Watters and Vicki Carter (Mike); his grandchildren, Jennifer Watters, Dustin, Brandon, Hana, Haylee Carter, Cody, Chelsea Dallas, Matt and Terry Franklin; and his stepchildren, Lisa Long, Danee Asemgar, Charlie Montgomery and Dick Montgomery.

Memorials are suggested to the St. Jude Children's Hospital.
