He was predeceased by: his parents, Anders Ericksen and Velma Ericksen (Smithson); his wife Sandra Ericksen (Johnson); and his siblings, James Ericksen and Jean Glowacki.
He is survived by: his children, Chad Ericksen (Tammy) and Traci Stewart (Stacy); his grandchildren, Shelbi Smock (Rilley), Cody Stewart, Taylor Ericksen and Tiffanie Ericksen; and his sisters, Jackie Michaels and Joanie Hilton.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Vandalia Country Club (1110 S 8th St, Vandalia, IL 62471). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages those wishing to honor John to spend time with their loved ones and support a local school in his memory.
