It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Paul A Segelhorst (Venedy, Illinois), born in Centralia, Illinois, who passed away on July 30, 2020, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Segelhorst and Emelie Segelhorst; his siblings, William "Bill" Segelhorst, Donald Segelhorst and Irene Holtgrewe (Edgar); and his nephew Vernon Paul Segelhorst.
He is survived by: his wife Jeanette Segelhorst of Venedy; his brother Lester Segelhorst (Mary) of Addieville, IL; and his siblings-in-law, Marilyn Segelhorst of Venedy, Shirley Vernon of Okawville, IL and George Steinkamp of Pontoon Beach, IL. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews as well as a host of friends.
A public visitation will be held from the St. Salvator Lutheran Church in Venedy on Wednesday, August 5, 2020 from 5 P. M. until 8 P. M. and on Thursday, August 6 from 12 P. M. until 1 P. M. Due to health concerns related to the Covid-19 virus and by executive order of the Governor, attendees are encouraged to wear masks, practice social distancing and avoid hugs and handshakes.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Salvator Bell Tower Repair Fund or to the Wounded Warriors Project and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
