It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karen Nadene Lawson of Walshville, Illinois, born in Litchfield, Illinois, who passed away on March 29, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Russell Hemken and Vivian Hemken (Osburn); her sister Mary Joanne Cartwright; her son Jerry Russell Law; and her great grandchildren, Landon Michael Lawrence and Oakley Allen Petcher.

She is survived by : her former life partner George Leonard "Bill" Law; her husband Oley E. Lawson; her children, Deborah Schroedel, Gary W. Law (Christy), Ronald B. Law (Peggy), Rhonda Massey (Brad), Carla Marshall (Mike) and Darla Sykes (Bill); and her sister Dr. Brenda Hemken.

The family suggests memorials to the Alzheimer's Association.
