He was predeceased by: his father Donald Besler. He is survived by: his mother Geraldine Besler (Harris); his children, Rachael Kennedy (Grant) and Quinn Anthony Besler; and his brother Gary.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory (2075 Washington Rd, Washington, IL 61571). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Ark Animal Shelter in Lacon, or to TAPS No-kill Animal Shelter in Pekin.
