He was predeceased by: his sister Peggy J. Cook; his son Barney E. Noel; and his son-in-law Patrick Diaz. He is survived by: his former wife Rose M. Kelly; his wife Helen Noel of Washington; his children, Joseph K. Hendrix (Amanda) of Normal and Deborah A. Diaz of Washington; his grandchildren, Ben Hendrix, Sam Hendrix, Charlotte Hendrix, Angela Diaz, Amy Williams (Mark) and Amber Land (Eric); his great grandchildren, Stormy Land and Scarlotte Land; and his nephew Billy James (Cindy).
There will be no services at this time due to COVID-19.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital or Disabled American Veterans.
