It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Avelina M. Tampus of Waukegan, Illinois, who passed away on September 28, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Florencio Medalla and Eleuteria Medalla; and her husband Dionisio Tampus. She is survived by: her children, Liza Tampus-Guzman (Gerry Guzman), Rafael Tampus and Noel Tampus (Joy); her grandchildren, Johannes, Jerianne, Judiane Robles (Angel), Glecy Orbeta (Scott), Geanne, Kezner, Ciara Tampus, Kaye Tampus, Ayessa Tampus and Ansherina Tampus; and her great grandchildren, Reese, Ava, Brody, Logan, Axel and Kalina.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the McMurrough Funeral Chapel (101 Park Pl, Libertyville, IL 60048).
