With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bernard F. Zastrow of Waukegan, Illinois, born in Hubbard, Nebraska, who passed away on May 27, 2021 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Adolph H. Zastrow and Mary Margaret Zastrow (Simmons); his wife Ruth; and his siblings, Mary Magdalene Headley, Mary Margaret Terry, Annabeth Kassing, Joe and Rich.

He is survived by: his children, John, Jeff (Rada), Bernie, Janet Krapf (Rich) and Lisa Turner; his grandchildren, Jeff, Jr., Sarah, Stephanie, Emily and Peyton; his great grandchildren, Alanna and Aubrie; and his sister Cathy Cassidy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations in his name may be made to St. Anastasia Church 624 Douglas Ave. Waukegan, Illinois 60085.
