He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Mary Etta Ewing and L. H. Haggins of Florida; his children, Jeanette Jackson, Donnie Baker, Shanta Parnell and George "Raheem" Parnell; his grandchildren, Joshua, Jarien, Kaidon and Darryl "Dj"; his great grandchildren, Aries and Jordan; his siblings, Shirley Ewing-Smith (Vince), Patrica Parks, Rosemary Parks, Wankee Hampton, Michael Haggins and Tan Haggins; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Delanda, Keena, Kimberly, Tasha, Javon, Earkise, Lamont, Michael, Devere (Annie), Dejanier and Kiyasia; and his former wife Joyce P. Friends.
