He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Shumaker and Ethel Shumaker (Getschman). He is survived by: his wife Kitty; and his children, Ann Bigger (Torry), Mary Jordan (Harry), Mark Shumaker (Elizabeth), Joan Bigger (Tom), Paul Shumaker (Debbie), Nancy Jarzen (Joe) and Kathryn Siegel (Marty Hackl). He is also survived by 23 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren. 6 siblings.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Boys & Girls Club of Lake County IL are appreciated.
