She is survived by: her aunt Julia Pelton; her siblings, Manuel Gonzales and Guadalupe Gonzalez-Hamilton (Jermain); her son Joel C. Nevarez (Lisania); and her grandchildren, Gabriela Cortes, Antonio Nevarez, Jaime Cortes, Carlos Cortes and Ilania Nevarez. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and numerous friends.
