He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Mae Black and Levi Payne; and his siblings, Manuel, Nathaniel, Lilly Grove and Love Ann Walker.
He is survived by: his children, Debbie Lang, Toby Payne (Carmen), Michele Macias (Jose) and Joyce Brown. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
