He was predeceased by : his parents, Edna Irene Elliott (Walker) and Joseph Douglas Elliott; his siblings, Theresa Nicholson, Freddie Howard and Michael Howard; and his great-nephew Justus Howell.

He is survived by : his close friend Anna Marie Guzman; his daughter Destiny Spradlin; his siblings, Carl Howard Jr. (Diane) of Waukegan, Lester, Patricia Elliott of Waukegan, Edith Goodner (Charles) of Springfield Tennessee, Beverly Thomas of Waukegan, Angie Joyner and Chavone White of Waukegan; his grandsons, DJ Hernandez and Josaiah Cruz; and his friends, Kevin Stackhouse and Kenny Curry. He is also survived by niece's nephews and cousins.

Visitation was held on Saturday, November 25th 2023 at 10:00 AM at the First Corinthian Missionary Baptist Church (1529 Elizabeth Ave, North Chicago, IL 60064). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 25th 2023 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
