It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Luis Antonio Lopez of Waukegan, Illinois, who passed away on February 8, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Luis Antonio Lopez to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by : his wife Margarita Lopez; his parents, Gregorio Lopez and Maria Lugo; his sisters, Efigenia Lopez, Ana Lopez and Tomasa Lopez-Montano; and his son-in-law Michael A. Lystlund.
He is survived by : his children, Luis G. Lopez (Adele), Dianne Lystlund (Robert Scharding), William A. Lopez (Janine), Osvaldo Lopez, Maria and Carmen Roman (Angel Misla); and his grandson Brandon L. Lopez. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Luis's name to the Edwin Montano Memorial Scholarship Fund at the Puerto Rican Society of Waukegan, 150 S. Sheridan Road, Waukegan, IL 60085 are greatly appreciated.
