He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Banks and Lucille Banks; his children, Rodney Banks, LaMar Miller, Nathaniel Banks, Jr. and Debbie Ann Banks; his siblings, Rev. Walter Banks, Sr., George Banks, Tony Banks, James L. Banks, Willie Banks (Bill), Betty Smith and Jessie Spears; and his granddaughter LaWanda Williams.
He is survived by: his wife Maggie Banks; his children, Larry Banks (Sabrina) of Chicago, IL, Turrant Banks of Chicago, IL., Deloise Smith (Robert) of Chicago, IL., Jacqueline Banks, April Banks (Shawn) of Chicago, IL., Beatrice Banks of Chicago, IL. and La'Shawn Hudson (Andre) of Chicago, IL.; and his sisters, Mattie Wheeler of Boston, MA and Christine Currie of Decatur, IL. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
