He was predeceased by : his parents, Edward Marr and Katie Cox Marr; and his wife Betty DeLong. He is survived by : his former life partner Joan Mathews; his close friend Helen McGarvey of Jacksonville, IL.; his children, Cindy Elliott (Logan) of Modesto and David Marr (Jill) of Modesto; his grandchildren, Dustin Elliott (Kaley) of Modesto, Brandon Elliott of Modesto and Faith Marr (Zack Belford) of Waverly; and his brother Lee Marr (Eileen White) of Chatham.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Waverly American Legion Building Fund or Waverly Senior Center both c/o Neece-Airsman-Hires Funeral Home, 349 Tanner, Waverly, Il. 62692.
