With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Jeanette Elaine Brotherton of West Frankfort, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Jeanette left this world on October 7, 2025 at the age of 89, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Bolen and Marjorie Bolen (Morrison); her husband Lavern "Pud" Brotherton; her daughters, Toni Elaine Brotherton and Marilyn Watkins; and her great grandchildren, Matthew and Brooklyn Brotherton.
She is survived by: her children, Jean McPheron (Kevin), Vern Brotherton (Cindy) and Scot Brotherton (Cheri); her grandchildren, Andrea Pike, Michael Mitchell (Trixie), Seth McPheron (Brianna), Joshua Brotherton (Ali), Amanda Brotherton, Ashley Elaine Brotherton, Alicia Brotherton, Troy Williams (Valerie), Tabby Williams, Garrett Gibbs, Adrianne Cabe (Rodney), Zack Brotherton, Ashley Dawn Karnes and Jesse Brotherton; her sister Sandra Bolen; and her aunt Loretta "Bee" Fletcher. She is also survived by 37 great-grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Harmony Freewill Baptist Church (14715 Harmony Church Rd, West Frankfort, IL 62896). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
