He was predeceased by: his spouse Patricia E. "Pat" Mahoney; his child Mary Ellen Mahoney; and his siblings, Jane Mahoney and John Mahoney. He is survived by: his children, Maureen Avendt (late Patrick), Peggy Brandon (Carl), Michael Mahoney (Renee), Patrick Mahoney (Laura) and Mary Kay Masterson (Michael); his grandchildren, Sean Avendt (Ashley), Colin Avendt, Erin Jacobson (Kurt), Carl, Megan Brandon, Kelly Bakker (Doug), Nora, Tricia, Michael and Peggy Masterson; and his great grandchildren, Liam Maurice, Jessa Maurice, Jackson Maurice and Maxwell Maurice.
