With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Zofia Szaflarska (Willow Springs, Illinois), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 9, 2025 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Jerzy Szaflarski; her parents, Bronislawa Smolka and Jan Smolka; and her siblings, Jan Smolka and Anna Toczek.
She is survived by: her children, Danuta Bobek (Andrzej), Teresa Szaflarska, Joanna Szwab (Wojciech), Jerzy Szaflarski (Anna) and Wiktor Szaflarski (Maria); her grandchildren, Chris Bobek (Anetka), Maciej, Szymon, Marcysia, Wiktor, Jr., Wincus and Magnolia Szaflarski; her great grandchild Francesca Bobek; and her sibling Bronislawa Bukowska (late Wladyslaw).
Visitation was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, July 14th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM at the Zarzycki Manor Chapels, Ltd. - Willow Springs (8999 Archer Ave, Willow Springs, IL 60480-1205). A prayer was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady Mother of the Church (116 Hilton St, Willow Springs, IL 60480).
