It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Margaret Lovell of Wilmington, Illinois, who passed away on October 21, 2023, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Francis Lovell and Margaret Lovell (Olivetti); and her brother William Lovell. She is survived by : her siblings, Jane Granger (Donald) of Manteno, David Lovell (Rita) of Wilmington and John Lovell of Soldotna; her nieces, Anne Riney (Todd) and Lindsay Powers (Michael); her great-nieces, Mackenzie Goselin and Mackaela Goselin; her great-nephew Zachary Powers; and also, Autumn Kelly and Aubrey Kelly.

Penny Anderson wrote a sympathy message

“My furbabies and I will miss "Auntie Joan" so much. For 25 years we shared stories of our "children." She loved every dog and cat she ever met and was a mother and shelter to every stray who crossed her path. I am sure she will be met at the rainbow bridge by hundreds of welcoming barks and purrs. I was blessed to have her as my friend. She was truly a special person. May she rest in peace. My condolences to her family. Penny Anderson”
