She was predeceased by: her grandmother Matilda "Curly" Johnson. She is survived by: her spouse Ralph Moravec; her children, David Moravec, Vicky Butler of Ringwood, Mary Moravec of Richmond and Susan Moravec of McHenry; her grandchildren, Justin Moravec, Jarrett Moravec, Holly Moravec, Heather Moravec, Jasmine Maher (Jordan) and Michael Tackitt; and her great grandchildren, Jayden Maher and Matthew Moravec.

Memorials may be made in Karen's honor to a charity of the donor's choice.
