It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sharon Rae Shewmake of Woodlawn, Illinois, born in Mount Vernon, Illinois, who passed away on July 26, 2021, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Warren Kinison and Vivian Kinison (Hughey); her son Wesley Keith Shewmake; her siblings, Carla Rossio and Larry Dee; and her siblings-in-law, Rachel Kinison, Parks Shewmake and Jackie Young.

She is survived by : her husband Arthur Shewmake; her children, Vikki Higgins (Jim) of Decatur and Scott Shewmake (Sue) of Oxford, Florida; her grandchildren, Steven Higgins (Sarah) of Florrisant, Nathan Higgins (Angie) of New Baden, Ashley Hilderbrand of Fairfield, Jacob Shewmake (Angie) of Olney, Kayla Starwalt (Roby) of Olney and Jace Shewmake of Olney, Illinois; her siblings, Cathy Bevis (Larry) of Fairfield and Morris D. Kinison of Woodlawn, Illinois; and her sisters-in-law, Mary Ellen Allen of Mattoon and Charlotte Moore of Michigan. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made in Sharon 's honor to the Woodlawn Christian Church.
