He was predeceased by : his parents, Charles McDermott and Alvena McDermott (Unsicker); and his brothers, Gary Dean and Richard Dale McDermott. He is survived by : his spouse Sondie L. Mear; his sons, William McDermott (Birdie) of Eldridge, IA, Marvin McDermott of Princeville and Charles McDermott (Shannon) of Toulon; his grandchildren, Madison, Olivia, Bailey, Jackson, Nolan McDermott, Isaiah Schwab, Samantha Pearson and Sydney VanDaele (Cole); and his nephews, Gary "Dean" McDermott (Julie) and Michael McDermott (Patty).
