Beth Arlene Zobel Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Beth Arlene Zobel of Yorkville, Illinois, born in West Point, Nebraska, who passed away on March 23, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, George R. Steil and Ruth Steil (Pittack); her husband Marlin J. Zobel; and her siblings, Gerald Steil, Ardene Wright and Maxine Steil.

She is survived by: her children, Suzanne Zobel, Mary Buchholz (David), James Zobel (Carol) and Karen Hight (Steven); and her sister Phyllis Kurth (Lyle). She is also survived by nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be directed to the Marlin and Beth Zobel Scholarship Fund at Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska.
