She was predeceased by: her parents, Hyram Mize and Virginia Mize (Rhodes); and her sister Thelma Ruth Mize. She is survived by: her husband James Mason; her daughters, Christel Martin of Marion, Melissa Plasters of Christopher and Carol Peterson of Iowa; her stepdaughters, Mary Danysh of Metropolis, Kelly Smejkal of Metropolis and Trish Abney of New Mexico; her stepfather Earl Glenn Rhodes; and her brothers, James Walter and John Mize. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
