He was predeceased by : his parents, Herman J. Eckert and Hazel M. Eckert (Eltzroth); and his wife Bertha Rudy. He is survived by : his children, Robert E. Eckert, Jr. (Charlene) of Albion, IN, Richard Lee Eckert of Albion, IN, Susan Forgey (Bill) of Huntington and Pamela Shideler (David) of Huntington; and his brother Bill Eckert of Fort Wayne, IN. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
