She was predeceased by: her parents, John Howe and Victoria Howe (McMahan); her husband Paul M. Gillam; her daughter Mary Sirk (Goforth); her siblings, David Howe, Richard Howe, Betty Russell and Sheila Howe; and her grandchildren, Chris Howe and Melissa Emery.
She is survived by: her daughter Deloris "Dodie" Howe of Alexandria; her stepchildren, Jamice Lowery (Mike) of Sulphur Springs, Sandy Garland of Waterviet, MI, Kathy Sirk of Eldorado Springs, MO, Mark Gillam (Kathy) of Elwood and Lisa Mick (Greg) of Lexington, KY; her sisters, Barbara Thurber of Alexandria, Charlotte Mercer (Calvin) of Anderson and Peggy Hampton (Porfirio Veliz) of Anderson; and her grandchildren, Marla Kemp (Tim Davis), Donna Bevelhimer (Darrell), Camey Lane, Rachel Beane, Joseph Sirk (Mary), Cindy Meadows (Tobey), Richard Lee Howe (Delisa), Deloris Musgrove, Rebecca Marshall (Kenny), Patrick Howe, Lori Delaney, Christa Pausterbaugh, Jennifer Thompson, Ken Garland, Tom Garland, Mark Garland, Tina Melton, Wendy Best and Carrina McMannis. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Due to Alzheimer's and the current pandemic, Carmen gave up her will to live from loneliness and not being able to see her family.
