He was predeceased by: his former wife Vivian Sue Surber; his son Basil Lee Surber, Jr.; and his parents, Barbara Schultz and Theodore Surber. He is survived by: his wife Diane Surber; his daughters, Jamie Lou Cooper (John), Lisa Anne Edwards (Gary), Paula Jean Covington (George) and Mandy Neff (Shane); his grandchildren, Jeremy (Lindsay), Billy, Tony "TJ" Julian, Michelle Holloway (Chris), Evan Covington and Crissy McNichols (Tony); his great grandchildren, Morgan, Gavin, Rowan, Violet Julian, Carter Holloway, Luke, Audrey Neff, Isaiah Covington, Bella McNichols and Alexis Short; his stepchildren, Tamra Mink (Charles), Kimberly Ousley and Michael Atwood; his cousins, Jack Barker (Marilyn), Ronald Barker and Barbara Jones; and his brothers-in-law, Charles Tipton (Barbara) and Robert Tipton (Peggy Hilton).
Due to the COVID restrictions, private family services will take place at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory.
