He was predeceased by: his parents, Issaac Payton and Nellie Dixon; his wife Beatrice Dixon; and his siblings, Oliver Dixon, Reece Dixon, Elsie Deck, Lonzo Dixon, Morris Dixon, Jim Dixon and Vestile Dixon.
He is survived by: his daughters, Anna Pugsley (Ed) and Charlene Whitehead (Mike); his grandchildren, Wendy Koger, Tracy Crawford, Stephanie Michaud (Christophe), Michael Whitehead (Nicole) and Matthew Whitehead; his great grandchildren, Kyle Koger, Jessica Readdy, Benjamin Crawford, Alexandria Wolanski, Paul Wolanski, Bryan Wolanski, Miranda Michaud, Michael Whitehead, Jr., Kaitlyn Whitehead, McKenzie Whitehead, Madison Whitehead, Max Whitehead and Mia Whitehead; and his great great grandchildren, Ashton and Rosie Wolanski. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
