She was predeceased by: her parents, E. B. Patton and Norma Patton (Elliott); and her sister Barbara Abrell (Marvin). She is survived by: her children, Lisa Osterhoff (Dirk), Dirk Shaffer (April), Dave Shaffer (Leslie), Dan Shaffer (Julie) and Dean Shaffer (Denise); her grandchildren, Lindsay, Sarah, Judi, Alex, Hannah, Kate, Tyler, Lily, Gabe, Grace and Nicole; her nephew Mike Abrell (Linda); and her brother-in-law Jim Shaffer (Linda). She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, Diana asked that everyone give wildlife a chance to survive by placing a birdfeeder or birdhouse on your property so you can enjoy the wildlife around you.
