He was predeceased by: his mother Dorothy Blaylock (Spearman); and his siblings, Dianna Lambert, Thurman "Sonny" Blaylock, Jr. and Karen Sue Hedgecraft. He is survived by: his father Thurman Blaylock, Sr.; his siblings, Barbara Myers, Beverly Strange, Sherry McCune (Ronnie), Donald Blaylock and Patricia McCune; and his half-brother Jeff Blaylock.
