She was predeceased by: her parents, Sherlie Murphy and John Brice Murphy; and her siblings, Earl, Ben, Olin, Murrell Rollins and Nellie Cornelius.

She is survived by: her significant other Don Sommers; her son David Sommers MD (Sandra Long Sommers); and her granddaughters, Betsy, Carly and Kit Sommers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Faith Baptist Church, 6600 Trier Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46815.
