He was predeceased by: his parents, Alex Yates and Betty Yates; and his sisters, Marjie Underwood and Suzie VanAuken. He is survived by: his wife Debra Yates; his children, Jayme Shaffer (Robert), LaTisha Spice (Travis), Candice Reese (Jeremy) and Justin Armstrong (Julia); and his sister Patsy Anderson (Mike).
