He was predeceased by: his former wives, Mary Frances Buchert and Thelma Buchert. He is survived by: his parents, John M. and Frances Buchert; his children, Mary Lou Stinson (Dale) and Bruce Buchert (Laura); and also, Stella and John Walukonis.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Community Hospital Anderson Foundation.
