He was predeceased by: his parents, Osmond Helpling and Nellie Helpling; and his brother Osmond "Sonny" Helpling, Jr.. He is survived by: his children, Chris Helpling (Lisa), Karla McMahan (Rick) and Kent Helpling (Debra); and his siblings, Mary Ann Douglas, James Helpling (Brenda) and Martha Helpling. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
