She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Leslie Von and Rosa Songer Gooding (Little); her daughter Karen Akers (Marc) of Lafayette; her sisters, Jenny Frazier of Frankton and Rosetta Downing (Jim) of Marion; her husband Philip Etsler; her stepfather Clifford Gooding; her children, Judith "Judy" Dieterle and Richard "Dick" Etsler; her grandson Shane Philip Etsler; and her brothers, Jack Songer and Joe Songer. She was also cherished by eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
