It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melvin Jackson of Anderson, Indiana, born in Elwood, Indiana, who passed away on June 1, 2020, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Jackson and Gladys Jackson (Minniear); his siblings, Jimmy, Jack, Wendell Jackson, Larry Friggle, Gary Friggle, Thelma Gossage and Josephine Idlewine; and his half-siblings, Ralph Jackson, Jr., Bonnie June Smith, Joann Smith, Jane Huffman and Jenny Dietzer.
He is survived by: his daughter Melody Jackson of Elwood; his grandsons, Earl Dewayne and James Alexander Stanton; his great grandchild Lillian Stanton; and his siblings, Robert "Bud" Jackson of Elwood, Alvey Jackson (Kathy) of Kokomo, Claude Jackson of Elwood, Danny Wheeler of Huntington and Doris Ann Stover of Elkhart. He is also survived by several nieces & nephews.
Out of respect for person and public safety, Stage 3 Pandemic requirements and social distancing will be observed including a maximum of 100 person in the funeral home at any given time.
