He was predeceased by: his parents, Neal B. and Ruth Welch Sr.; and his stepson Danny Smith. He is survived by: his spouse Carolyn Welch (Childers); his stepchildren, Penny Kidd (Billy) of Muncie, IN, Timothy Smith (Chris) and Jerry Smith (Kim) of Yorktown, IN; and his brother Charles Welch (Carolyn) of Ft. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren.
