It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Opal Mae Matthews (Anderson, Indiana), born in Lapel, Indiana, who passed away on December 7, 2019, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Presser and Maude Presser (Morris); her husband John "Jack" Matthews; her son Larry Matthews; her grandchildren, Zachary Matthews and Jocelyn Matthews; and her sister Mardelle Babb.
She is survived by: her sons, Tom Matthews of Anderson and Jerry Matthews of Indianapolis; her daughter-in-law Tudy Matthews of Anderson; her grandchildren, Ashley Pepelea (Michael) and Allyson Matthews (Laurie Seall); and her great grandchildren, Olivia Pepelea and Sophia Pepelea.
