He was predeceased by: his grandmother Jean Williams of Elwood; his father Steven L. Gmurk; his grandfather George Williams; and his stepsister Shannon Gmurk. He is survived by: his mother Patsy Gardner (Williams); his son Storage; his siblings, James Gardner of Elwood and Jessica West of Elwood; his aunts, Penny Eldridge of Elwood and Pamela Seaux of Greensboro, NC; and his uncle David Williams (Vida) of Elwood. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
