He was predeceased by: his parents, Lacy Hallett and Celia Hallett (Ransford); his brother Donald Hallett; and his niece Marta Lee Hallett. He is survived by: his wife Lois Hallett (Mayo) of Anderson; his children, Richard Lee Hallett II (Leslie) of Carmel and Cindy Hallett-Beaty (Grady) of Alexandria; his grandchildren, Luke, Benjamin and Anna; his nephew Marc Hallett; and his brother-in-law Dale Young.

Memorial Contributions may be made to South Meridian Church of God, Chesterfield Community Church of God, or the Billy Graham Evangelistic Crusade.
