He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Hedgecraft and Patricia Hedgecraft (Greve); and his sisters, Susan Collins and Linda Kimbrell. He is survived by: his wife Nancy; his daughter April Hedgecraft of Westfield; his grandchildren, Khloe Miller and Kaden Miller; his stepson Rich Lewis (Shilpa); his stepgrandson Omni Lewis; his sister Pam Lackey (Steve); and his brother-in-law Bill Collins.

Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, the family has chosen to have private family services at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory.
