He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Ray and Retha Stephens; his wife Margaret Stephens; and his siblings, Curtis, Getha, Bobby, Ralph, Jimmy, Billy, Elbert, Collis Stephens, Irene Youngblood and Anna Lois.
He is survived by: his daughters, Melinda Sredzinski (Lee) of Indianapolis and Brenda Hildebrandt of Noblesville; his grandchildren, Justin Vest (Carly), John Hildebrandt and Rachelle Hildebrandt; and his great grandchild Meleah Vest.
