He was predeceased by: his parents, Evan Sample and Esther Sample (Mains); and his spouse Delpha Estes. He is survived by: his children, Patricia "Pat" Keogh (James) of Anderson and Robert Sample (Cheryl) of Colorado; his grandchildren, Mary Pat Stage (Jeremiah), Geoffrey Keogh (Whitney), Luke Sample and Madelyne Sample; and his great grandchildren, Moxie, Magnolia Stage, Jaxson Roemhildt, Ari and Ada Keogh. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
