She was predeceased by : her parents, Howard Stephan and Margaret "Maggie" Stephan (Kahlenbeck); her close friend Mike Burton; and her brothers, Mark Stephan, Dennis Stephan and Henry Stephan.

She is survived by : her children, Jean Herd (Alan) of Homosassa, FL, Ed Fisher of Marion, IN, Tammy Pederson (Jeffrey) of Cottage Grove, MN and Amy Austin (Shane) of Lake Mary, FL; her siblings, Mike Stephan (Jean) of Huntington, IN, Lawrence Stephan (Doris) of Marion, IN and Sharon Biehl; and her grandchildren, Heather, Dasha, Carson, Maggie, Brock and Bailey. She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to COPD Foundation in care of McElhaney Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN, 46750.
