He is survived by: his former wife Donna Root (Brock); his wife Dana; his children, Gerald Root Jr. (Meghan), Amanda Quakenbush (Ben), Brittany Kennicott, Andreah Caldwell (Dave), Abbie Morgan (Matt) and Alli Ritter (Kyle); his grandchildren, Hayley, Corbin, Matt, Cole, Addy, Creek, Taylor, Lauren, Olivia, Cody, Riggs, Kali, Clay, Charlie, Joey, Brooks and Bella; his sister Cheri Stevenson (Joe); and his pet Maggie.
