He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Marie and Anna Marie; his wife Ruth Marie Usher; his son Leroy Kessens; and his brothers, Carl Kessens, Harvey Kessens and Milton Kessens.
He is survived by: his children, Charles Kessens (Cathy) of Batesville, IN, Marian Kessens of Columbus, IN, Barbara Spreckelson (Ronnie) of Greensburg, IN and Linda Reichel (Brad) of Springville, IN; and his cousins, Normal Roberts, Ethel Parmer and Roger Westerfeld. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren with one on the way, 1 niece, 1 nephew.
Memorials may be given to St. Jude Hospital for Children c/o the Meyers Funeral Home.
