She was predeceased by : her parents, Stuart Rose and Mary Rose; and her brother David Hummel. She is survived by : her husband Ken of Batesville; her children, Ryan Fairchild of Batesville and Dana Fairchild (Matthew Stanesby) of Chicago, Illinois; her granddaughter Lilly; and her siblings, William "Bill" Hummel (Rita) of Guilford, James "Jim" Hummel (Judy) of West Carrollton, Timmothy "Tim" Hummel of Charleston and Patty Jarboe of Huntsville, Alabama..

Concurrently, Chris held nearly every office in its local chapter multiple times, and then in 2018 she ran for the elected office of National Editor, where she won the candidacy and was elected to a 2-year term, which was further extended by a year due to the pandemic.
