She is survived by: her husband David Shireley; her son Larry (Peggy) of Bismarck, ND; her grandson David; her brother Bill Smith of Lafayette; and her nieces, Michelle Oliphant Biggs and Rita Ann Leming of Lafayette.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made in Janet's name to the American Heart Association.
